Dull but necessary aims, I feel :).

I know what you mean. Cathy - since my kids were born, I do find myself dropping off sometimes - unthinkable in the old days!

Really, Carol? We keep them up until Twelfth Night. Definitely still festive at New Year :).

Jen, sparkling apple cider sounds nice! I suppose the ball drop is the American equivalent of Big Ben chiming or the gun being fired at Edinburgh Castle :).

And finally, the winner of ARIADNE'S THREAD is...

CATHY M!

Congratulations, Cathy! I don't party too much anymore and can get holiday pay. During the day we take our children to a indoor playplace called Playstation. They have an indoor playground and do an event called NoonYears Eve. They have food and drinks and at noon they celebrate by dropping ballons and giving out party favors to the kids. My kids love it, we have been doing it for the last 3 years.
This sounds like a great book Marie. We don't really do too much, but do encourage our kids to take some time to reflect and do a little goal setting around then :)Fedorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879033776125666713noreply@blogger.com
