I thought I'd ask you about your favourite heroines of film and television. Here are a few to start with - let me know what you think, and tell me yours!
First of all, got to have Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No need to say more :).
The vengeful bride in Kill Bill is pretty unforgettable, as is Trinity from Matrix who seemed to cover up all her softer emotions in those stylish shades and guns.
Nikita, another assassin with a heart - lost the story somewhere, but I did find it gripping! And of course, John Connor's mother Sarah, from the Terminator films and the later spin-off series
And while we're with futuristic, Zoe from Firefly and the movie Serenity was a great butt-kicking heroine, although obviously she was upstaged just a little at the end of Serenity!
And among the official good guys, how about police officer Deb Morgan, sister of everyone's favourite serial killer, Dexter? Or the flawed but fascinating Carrie from Homeland? Both of whom kick ass for the law :).
Okay, over to you!
Marie
How about Emma Peel for a classic kick-ass heroine? So elegant when she did her thing.
ReplyDeleteSome great heroines there, Marie! Hope everything's going OK for your family! Take care!
ReplyDeleteNice one, Carol - an early ass-kicker and as you say very stylish!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fedora! I think things are getting better, but time off is still difficult to arrange!
